About Norvanta

The clinical infrastructure
RN practices need.

Built by one of their own.

Norvanta was founded by a licensed APRN who watched talented nurses operate under real legal exposure — and decided to build the infrastructure they needed instead of waiting for someone else to do it.

The founder

Maria Schepis, APRN.
Medical director. Infrastructure builder.

Maria is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse and active medical director with direct experience navigating the compliance environment Illinois aesthetic providers operate in. She didn't build Norvanta from the outside — she built it from inside the problem.

For years, she watched skilled RNs operate with real clinical competence but insufficient oversight structure. Informal arrangements. Verbal agreements. Physician names on file without executed documentation. None of it would hold up under audit.

So she built the infrastructure herself — a structured, credentialed, documented oversight system designed specifically for the aesthetic nurse population. Norvanta is what she wished had existed.

Why it exists

The infrastructure that should have
already existed.

Most RNs in this space aren't operating recklessly. They're operating without the right infrastructure — because it simply didn't exist for them. Norvanta was built to close that gap.

01
Informal arrangements collapse under scrutiny

A physician's name on file, a verbal agreement, a handshake arrangement — none of it satisfies state regulators. When documentation is requested, these setups fall apart. The provider bears the consequences alone.

The risk is real — and it's yours alone
02
Most oversight wasn't designed for this provider

Physician-supervised models. Med spa ownership structures. Platforms built for NPs. None of them serve the RN running an independent aesthetic practice in a regulated state. Norvanta does.

Built specifically for the aesthetic RN
03
The gap between compliance and oversight is where liability lives

Feeling compliant and being compliant are different things. Norvanta provides the infrastructure that survives a board complaint, a state audit, and a legal challenge — not just the appearance of it.

This is the standard Norvanta holds
How we operate

NP-led. Retainer-based.
Provider-first.

Norvanta operates as a dedicated clinical oversight system — not a side service, not a directory, not a platform that matches providers with physicians who barely know their name.

Every provider relationship is active and ongoing. Maria serves as the named medical director for each enrolled practice — with executed agreements, chart review, and documentation maintained from day one.

What selective means in practice
Every applicant is reviewed before a discovery call is booked
State, license type, and service scope must qualify before enrollment
Capacity is managed — Norvanta does not oversee more providers than it can properly support
What you're actually getting

Not a name on a form.
A real clinical relationship.

When you enroll with Norvanta, Maria becomes your named medical director — with active involvement, not passive listing.

Executed agreements before day one

State-specific supervisory agreements drafted, reviewed, and signed digitally before your first patient is ever referred. Not assembled after the fact.

Documented chart review on record

Periodic chart review conducted and documented in writing. A regulator asking for evidence of oversight receives a structured record — not a verbal attestation.

A compliance file that grows with you

Every GFE clearance, oversight log, and chart review is maintained in Norvanta's clinical system — organized for state inspection before it's ever requested.
